On the sidelines of the 61st session of the Human Rights Council, the Yemeni Center for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violations and Torture held a meeting on Monday, March 16, with researchers from the European Union to discuss the human rights situation in Yemen and the violations committed by parties to the conflict, foremost among them the Houthi militia.

During the meeting, the Center’s team reviewed its key activities in monitoring violations against civilians, including enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, torture, child recruitment, and landmine planting, in addition to violations related to forced displacement, restrictions on freedoms, and regional security.

The Center also affirmed its continued efforts to document these violations and convey them to international bodies, stressing the importance of strengthening accountability, ending impunity, and working to protect civilians and ensure the rights of victims.
