On #WorldMentalHealth Day, we at YCVVT (Will & Hope) are raising our voices for the survivors of torture and war in Yemen.
The Invisible Toll: Years of systematic torture, enforced disappearances, and detention by Houthi militias have left thousands of Yemenis with deep psychological wounds. For many, the “prison” continues even after release through PTSD, depression, and social isolation.
Our Message: Healing is a part of Justice. We call on the @UN and international partners to: 🔹 Launch specialized psychosocial support programs for victims. 🔹 Link mental health services with vocational training and economic relief. 🔹 Demand the immediate release of all detainees to end the nightmare for their families.
At Will & Hope, we believe that sustainable peace is impossible without psychological healing. Let’s rebuild the person to rebuild the nation.
