On the occasion of the 64th National Anniversary of the eternal September 26, 1962 Revolution, the Yemeni Center for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violations and Torture (Will and Hope) extends its warmest congratulations and greetings to all the great Yemeni people at home and abroad, filled with hopes of liberation and recalling the will of the early free pioneers who shattered the chains of the Imamate and tyranny, establishing the pillars of freedom, republicanism, and human dignity.
On this glorious national occasion, the Center specifically extends its highest expressions of congratulations and honor to the families and relatives of the abducted, the forcibly disappeared, and the victims of torture languishing in the dungeons of repression and injustice. Your resilience and patience in the face of the harshest forms of abuse and persecution represent the true continuation of the spirit of the eternal September Revolution and the torch that illuminates the path of national struggle.
From amidst the rubble and pain, the Yemeni Center sends a message of hope filled with confidence in justice: the darkness of the dungeons and the night of tyranny, no matter how long they endure, are bound to vanish, and the dawn of freedom and dignity is inevitably coming. The sacrifices made by the free people today are the bridge upon which Yemen’s future generations will cross toward a state of justice and the rule of law.
The Yemeni Center for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violations and Torture (Will and Hope) reaffirms to the Yemeni people, all victims, and their families its steadfast commitment and determination to continue monitoring and documenting crimes, preserving evidence, and prosecuting perpetrators and those complicit in violations before international courts and mechanisms. We pledge to you that we will not rest until every detainee gains their freedom, the fate of every disappeared person is disclosed, full justice and redress for victims are achieved, and impunity is brought to an end.
On this national occasion, the Yemeni Center issues an urgent appeal to the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, and the entire international community, calling on them to respond to the conscience of humanity and break the silence regarding the grave violations inflicted upon Yemenis. We demand real and serious pressure to halt the crimes of torture and arbitrary detention, immediately and unconditionally release all abducted and forcibly disappeared persons, and support accountability pathways that ensure the trial of perpetrators without prioritizing political interests at the expense of human rights and dignity.
Freedom for the abducted and forcibly disappeared… Healing and dignity for the victims of torture…
